805 Insulation
About Us
Santa Maria’s housing includes buildings from several stages of the city’s growth. According to the city’s Housing Element, 35% of homes were built from 1960 to 1979, while 21% were built after 2000. Those figures describe the city as a whole. They cannot tell us what insulation is in an individual attic, wall, or floor.
At 805 Insulation, we work with Santa Maria customers on existing properties, remodels, and new construction. Our team is based in Lompoc. We review the area to be insulated and explain the recommended materials and scope before work begins.
Insulation Solutions Designed for Year Round Comfort
In an established home, the first question is often what insulation is already there and whether it still provides suitable coverage. During a remodel, walls or floors may be open for a limited time. On a new build, insulation has to be planned around the construction schedule and the spaces that will be enclosed. Santa Maria’s mix of older and newer housing makes it especially important to identify which situation applies before selecting a service.
Timing matters. Once drywall is installed, a wall is harder to access. In an existing attic, adding material without checking what is underneath may overlook insulation that needs removal. A useful recommendation starts with the stage of the project and the condition of the space.
Professional Workmanship You Can Depend On
For an existing building, we review the attic, accessible floor, or wall area you want to address. We look at the insulation already in place and discuss whether removal, replacement, or added coverage is appropriate. That may lead to attic insulation, blown-in material, or underfloor work, depending on the space.
For construction and remodeling, we can coordinate insulation for accessible wall, attic, and floor assemblies before they are closed. We discuss fiberglass, spray foam, and acoustic wall insulation where they suit the project. For suitable enclosed walls, we can discuss cavity wall injection using cellulose or fiberglass through drywall or stucco. The framing depth determines how much insulation the wall can hold and the resulting R-value.
Everything You Need
We install or upgrade attic insulation after reviewing the space and its existing coverage. The right approach depends on access, the condition of the material already there, and the areas you want to improve.
When existing insulation needs to come out, we review its condition and the area involved before planning replacement work. We explain what the removal will cover so you know how the project will proceed.
Blown-in insulation can help cover suitable attic spaces, including areas that are hard to reach with batts. We assess the attic before recommending the material and installation plan.
Rooms above an accessible underfloor area may benefit from insulation beneath the floor. We check the space and its conditions before recommending installation.
Spray foam can be considered for suitable, accessible building areas. We review the assembly and explain where this material fits the project.
Fiberglass can be used in many attic, wall, and floor projects. We plan the installation around the space, including work taking place during construction or remodeling.
For suitable enclosed walls, we install cellulose or fiberglass through planned openings in drywall or stucco. We assess the wall framing before recommending the work.
Acoustic insulation can help reduce sound transfer between suitable spaces. We review the wall and your sound-control goal before discussing an approach.
We Listen, We Deliver, We Excel
Why Choose 805 Insulation for Your Santa Maria Project?
We listen to what is happening in your space. A room that heats up in the afternoon calls for a closer look at different areas than a cold floor does. We use what you tell us to guide the review.
We explain the work before we begin. You will know which area we recommend insulating, whether old material needs removal, and why the proposed method fits your building.
We bring experience to the job. I have worked in the insulation industry for 17 years and have run 805 Insulation for 7 years. Our work is backed by CSLB License #1058974.
Tell us about the room, attic, wall, or underfloor area you want to address. We will discuss your Santa Maria project and help you take the next step toward an insulation plan that fits the building.
